Hello everyone,
not much has been going on with this blog lately, which is misleading because the WAWAP gang has been very busy indeed. Not only are we plotting a plethora of shiny new zines and comics for your eyes, but we’re also currently building a real website! That way we can have all the main information over there and keep this for more updates on how we are doing, not only for WAWAP but also on our personal projects (of which there are currently, many. I’m surprised we’re all still standing. Well. Barely.).
Matthew has been working on a variety of writing projects, such as overnight-zines and threesixfivestart and ditto, about which you can read here!
Sarah has been busy working on college projects and personal zines and competitions alike, you can follow her progress (interspersed with some stunning drawings) here!
I (Julia) have been working on a collection of my online work for the Zine Symposium, drafting a script for a longer, ongoing story to be self-published in issues (and hopefully one day as a graphic novel), and getting comfortable with making the odd write-and-draw-it-in-a-few-hours-autobiographical comic. Together with friends I’ve also started a massive project aiming to illustrate each and everyone of the Magnetic Fields’ 69 Love Songs. If you’re interested, have a look at it here.
Oooh, and there’s more news! On Sunday, the 3rd of May, WAWAP will be at the London Zine Symposium, so drop by, have a chat, buy our comics and zines if they please you.
I leave you with Sarah’s impression of us at the UK Web and Minicomix Thing this year:

That is all! Watch this space, I promise you more (and regular) updates.
Julia
