…indeed we are, even though things have been a bit quiet here lately.
Matt has gone off to Canada and America for a while, to help out Team Phonogram by editing a kick-ass Phonogram Fanzine:
(now unfortunately sold out)
…and to generally be a bohemian indie boy traveller.
Sarah and I, however, have not been twiddling our thumbs (too much), and have been at the Alternative Press Fair at the St Aloysius Social Club on Sunday, officially representing our good selves and unofficially representing WAW+P.
Here’s Sarah enthusiastically selling some stuff (please also note the jaunty bunting):
We’ve been working on our personal projects as well. I’ve been selling a collection of some of my auto-bio ranty online work:
…and Sarah was wildly successful with her Nose Zine, now with new covers:
…and above all her wonderful Beard Zine. It is every bit as great as it sounds (because everyone loves beards, as occasional beardy-man Sheret knows full well), and look, look, just look what you can also do with it:
So, this is all in the past. And the future? We are currently in the process of sticking our heads together and trying to figure out what to do with WAW+P in the future, and there are some BIG ideas floating round – but all shall be revealed in good time.
Meanwhile, I will be again officially representing myself at the MCM Expo in London on the 24th and 25th of October, sharing a table with the very talented Robbie Wilkinson (and Sarah will probably tag along, too). Our next big WAW+P gig (“we’re getting the band back together!”) is this year’s Leeds Thought Bubble Festival on the 21st of November, where we’ll be sharing a table with Tom Humberstone aka Vented Spleen.
I have also probably updated every single page on this blog with more up-to-date news and pictures (which is probably why it’s gone oh-my-god-is-this-the-time o’clock in the morning), so have a look around and I promise there will be more regular updates from now on.
Keep an eye out. Things are going to change…
Julia
