We Are Words + Pictures are pleased to announce that our first stall date will be Sunday 27th September in Brick Lane’s new Tea Rooms market, just around the corner from the old Truman Brewery.
We’ll be releasing our line-up in the next week or so, along with a map for first-timers. You’ve still got time to get submissions in before then if you want to be included in the Mobile Library or considered for table space; just click above the banner for details.
In other news, the WAW+P Team are delighted to be included in Tom Humberstone’s forthcoming Solipsistic Pop anthology. A showcase of British small press talent, both Julia and Sarah are illustrating stories for what looks to be a wonderfully tactile volume, blending print techniques and art styles with ideology and enthusiasm. The site currently features some short previews of the contents including ‘A Manifesto for The New Vague’, which I co-wrote with Tom, and ‘Do Everything’, an essay pointed at the comics community that I admit to writing in a fit of optimism. I intend to blog more about them on my own site, so look out for more backstory there, suffice to say we’re all very excited about the project and will keep you in the loop about forthcoming developments.
