So, news of three upcoming events for the We Are Words + Pictures team.
First up, we’ll be hosting a table at Girl Germs, a Riot Grrrl-inspired night held at the Camden Head on October 17th: “A night of Femme Fatale inspired music. Celebrating Riot Grrrl, Grunge, Punk and Retro all Made and played by grrrls who rock.“
Should be an excellent night, made all the more appealing with FREE ENTRY CHEAP ENTRY (as Chal notes in the comments, it’s £3, or £2 for you NUS-toting youngsters). If anyone’s got any fem-/polit-product for that then please give us a shout; Not only would we love to showcase it, but it could go down a treat.
Secondly, Paul Gravett is pulling the full line up of November’s ComICA together. The Comiket will be returning on November 8th, and we’re delighted to be exhibiting and helping out there. Check out the information on Comiket’s page and drop Paul a line if you want exhibition space.
Last but not east, the gang behind the Alternative Press Fair are hosting a night of cut ‘n’ paste fun at the Foundry on November 12th. Are You ‘Zine Friendly? promises to be a nice old celebration just off of Brick Lane. Details are on the site.
Lastly, Marc Ellerby’s Ellerbisms is celebrating its 200th installment this week so join in the celebrations.
