Somewhere between a ‘zine and a mini-anthology, Paper Science is a snapshot of what We Are Words + Pictures are interested in at the moment. The only criteria was that the contributors had to throw something together that’s a little bit different from what they usually do, resulting in a collection of illustrations, short stories, comics, essays, an extract from a book and an interview.
Contributors include Adam Cadwell, Chrissy Williams, Dan Hancox, Emilie Chalcraft, Julia Scheele, Katie West, Lizz Lunney, Marc Ellerby, Mark Higgins, Mark Oliver, Matt Jones, Matthew Sheret, The Girl With Shit Stories and Tom Humberstone. To find out what they’ve contributed you’ll have to pick up a copy.*
It’s a twelve page, full-colour newspaper printed by the lovely folks over at Newspaper Club. 300 copies of Paper Science will be available at Thought Bubble from We Are Words + Pictures. It will cost £1, or come free with any purchases totaling over £5 from the We Are Words + Pictures stand.
We’ve also printed up some tote bags, modeled below by Paper Science contributor The Girl With Shit Stories, in the fine style of indie trendsetters everywhere, which will be available for £2. No doubt we’ll be throwing together offers for both and more at Thought Bubble, so be sure to come by and check us out.
*or ask them very nicely

[...] Today we took stock of our current stall publications, gearing up for the coming few months and working out what to do with our stock online. We’ll be taking the remaining papers with us to events wherever we go, and probably putting the tote bags online, but given the postage costs involved in getting them overseas it doesn’t make much sense for most people to buy Paper Science.
