We Want You!

We’ve got exciting news to come next week, but here’s a little something to tide you over until then. At WAW+P towers we’ve loved getting shots of Paper Science out in the wild (be it from Field Agent Feenstra in Nottingham, Field Agent West in Toronto or Field Agent Stark in the 616), and we want more.

Send an e-mail to wearewordsandpictures [at] gmail [dot] com with the subject line MAKE ME A FIELD AGENT along with your name and address and we’ll send the first 50 people to do so a free copy of Paper Science. All we ask then is that you send us a photo of you with it somewhere interesting.

Pretty soon we’ll be offering Paper Science and the WAW+P tote bag for sale online, but what better way to start 2010 than with freebies? Happy New Year!

Paper Science is a twelve page, full-colour newspaper printed by the lovely folks over at Newspaper Club. Somewhere between a ‘zine and a mini-anthology, Paper Science is a snapshot of what We Are Words + Pictures are interested in at the moment. The only criteria was that the contributors had to throw something together that’s a little bit different from what they usually do, resulting in a collection of illustrations, short stories, comics, essays, an extract from a book and an interview.

Contributors include Adam Cadwell, Chrissy Williams, Dan Hancox, Emilie Chalcraft, Julia Scheele, Katie West, Lizz Lunney, Marc Ellerby, Mark Higgins, Mark Oliver, Matt Jones, Matthew Sheret, The Girl With Shit Stories and Tom Humberstone.
